Further Information

The Consortium for Energy Efficiency (CEE), a national non-profit corporation, develops national initiatives to promote the manufacture and purchase of energy-efficient products and services in the USA. Since 1991, CEE and its members have been working to increase the availability and demand for energy-saving products. The U.S. Department of Energy and Environmental Protection Agency both provide major support, through grants and participation.

CEE members include virtually all administrators and public stakeholders involved with energy-efficiency programming. This includes utilities, statewide and regional energy-efficiency administrators, environmental groups, research organizations, and state energy offices. CEE also works with manufacturers, retailers and trade associations, although these groups are not eligible for membership.

CEE provides a forum for stakeholders in energy efficiency to voluntarily align programs, share ideas and exchange information. Through voluntary alignment, regional programs can make national impacts. CEE also serves as a liaison between energy-efficiecy programs and manufacturers. In addition, CEE serves as a clearinghouse for information about energy-efficient products and services.
