AMOR is a private, independent non-profit organisation competing nationally and internationally for research, consulting and education projects in the transport and traffic area. As a leading Austrian institution of its kind AMOR has obtained a strong market position. Clients are not only major research funding institutions (such as the European Commission, Austrian Federal Ministries or provincial governments), but also private companies, transport operators, educational institutions, etc. AMOR works mainly in the field of research, training and consulting concerning mobility and traffic. The work of the Mobility management department contains influencing mobility structures and user behaviour as well as research on the reasons and effects of mobility. Goal of the FGM telematic department is to make ecological, sustainable traffic more attractive and efficient as well as develop new services by applying telematics solutions.
FGM-AMOR is especially active in awareness campagning but has close ties to public transport operators both developing innovative measures to achieve modal shift and to increase operational productivity through organisational and technical measures.
Areas of expertise: quality management for mobility policies, changing citizens behaviour, development of educational, emotional materials, international dissemination and travel awareness capaigns, telematic applications for sustainable, energy efficient transport.
