The University of Burgos is a public University of Castilla and Leon. Currently, the University has got almost 10,000 students, which makes Burgos a medium-sized university, with a strong growth tendency of the student body. There are four Faculties (Sciences, Economics and Business Studies, Law, Humanities and Education), two appointed Schools and one Higher Polytechnic School. The Polytechnic School is the one of Castile and Leon specialised in civil engineering and architecture.
