Good practice

What are ManagEnergy good practice case studies?

ManagEnergy good practice case studies are projects that:

  • Demonstrate a positive contribution to energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy in Europe
  • Are suitable for replication by energy actors at the local and regional level

How is a case study assessed as good practice?

Every year ManagEnergy collects case studies from local and regional authorities, energy agencies and other energy actors through an annual call. The submitted projects focus on energy efficiency, renewable energy and clean transport and have a local and regional perspective.

The case studies are evaluated by a team of experts and a jury against a predetermined set of evaluation criteria. The best case studies receive the status of "good practice". Good practice case studies make a clear contribution to sustainable development, have a positive impact and demonstrate a high replication potential!

The best good practice case studies are nominated for the ManagEnergy Local Energy Action Award.

How are good practice case studies promoted?

Good practice case studies are disseminated on the website, included in the periodic publication "Local Energy Action - EU Good Practice" and presented in several events across Europe.
