International Trade Fair and Congress for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency, taking place during Hungary’s Presidency of the European Union. It will be a meeting point for professionals and experts from Europe to exchange know-how and do business in the Central European region. Technology innovators and business leaders will discuss the actual topics from the field of renewable energy, energy efficiency and climate change.
The III Észak-Alföld Energy Day for Local Governments - organised by ENEREA Észak-Alföld Regional Energy Agency - will be held on 19 June 2012. The one-day event is aimed at local governments in the region. The event will provide local governments with information on the use of renewable energy, energy efficiency and energy crops, as well as the use of natural resources and social capability in an optimal, economical and environmentally friendly way.

The European Commission seeks to accelerate the large scale take up of Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans by local and regional authorities in Europe by informing comprehensively about the scope, content and benefits of these plans. In 2012, a team of experts is delivering 35 seminars and experience exchange events on Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans in national languages all over Europe. This technical training seminar in Budapest is targeted at local planners and implementers in Hungary.
The AIDA project supports building professionals and local authorities all over Europe in designing nearly zero-energy buildings (NZEB). AIDA offers action tailored to these target groups, such as study tours to innovative buildings, best-practice- learning from operational success stories, presentation of innovative design software and active support for municipalities.

The event provides the possibility for 18 local municipalities of the South Transdanubian Region of Hungary to join the Covenant of Mayors initiative. These settlements undertake to contribute to the achievement of the goals of the EU2020 strategy by reducing their CO2 emissions by at least 20% until 2020. During the workshop experts will present the benefits of the adhesion, and highlight the duties of the municipalities regarding the compilation of the Baseline Emission Inventory and SEAP.

The Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in cooperation with all project partners is organizing the EFFECT final conference in Budapest. The morning session is dedicated to main results on the promotion of energy efficiency in public tenders and to the trends of sustainable procurement in the EU.
