The SERVE Project has successfully completed the upgrading of approx. 400 buildings in the SERVE region and has supported the development of the Eco Village in Cloughjordan. Energy savings and renewable energy production have been key focuses of the project. The SERVE Seminar Series is part of an information and training programme which the project is running to present the findings and lessons learned from the project. Seminar 1: "Using Wood as a Fuel"

As part of the SERVE Energy Week events the European Commission has invited the SERVE Project to run a ManagEnergy Capacity Building workshop on SEAPs (Sustainable Energy Action Plan)and Covenant of Mayors (CoM). This workshop is open to Local & Regional Authorities and Energy Agencies only. Attendance at the workshop is complimentary, however, places are limited and early booking is advisable. 1st October: 09:30-17:00 and 2nd October: 09:30-13:00

This conference will present examples of Community and Regional Action on Sustainable energy and discuss the opportunities that exist for local action in the sustainable energy area. Four seminars will allow participants time to focus in more detail on the themes of training, finance, retrofitting and behaviour change. The final session will showcase the impact of SERVE and what lies ahead in terms of energy policy. From the 1st to 5th of October 2012.

The workshop was divided into one main part on SEAP initiation & design and another part on financing mechanisms.

The aim of the GeoDH workshops is to identify and assess barriers to Geothermal District Heating projects in 14 countries in order to create and present recommendations for their removal. Participants are invited from a variety of backgrounds and from those fields which may have relevant information or knowledge to contribute on the discussion on Geothermal and District Heating in these countries. The 4th European Conference on Renewable Heating and Cooling, which is the annual event of the European Technology Platform on Renewable Heating and Cooling will take place on 22-23 April in Dublin. Join us and discuss with leading experts from around Europe the most promising technology options for Renewable Heating and Cooling. This year's conference is an associated event of the Irish Presidency of the Council of the EU.
