The CASCADE IEE project is organising a seminar on European cities sharing experience on local energy leadership in Naples, Italy, on 28 March 2014, during the 7th EnergyMed Exhibition & Conference. The cities of Genoa, Milan and Venice will present the CASCADE project and the benefits of peer-to-peer learning and networking for cities. The participants will have the chance to discuss local energy implementation challenges and solutions.
This workshop is designed to help these municipalities carry out their SEAPs, and encourage others to join the Covenant. Examples of successful projects will be presented along with financing options for public authorities, including Structural Funds, Horizon 2020, Project Development Assistance, and energy performance contracting.

Local authorities, social housing landlords, condominium apartment owners, etc., are invited to a 1.5-day workshop on financial, legal and economic instruments towards the energy transition at the Halle Pajol, 20 esplanade Nathalie Sarraute 75018 Paris.
The scope of the workshop is to find ways for investments in sustainable energy solutions in Estonia, notably in the building and district heating sector. A key challenge is to optimise the use of the upcoming Cohesion Funds for the 2014-20 period, where Estonia already have good experience with innovative financing instruments (revolving fund managed by the KredEx institution) to build upon.

Mayors in Action focuses on Coordinators and Supporters of the CoM (C&S). The goal of the training workshop, launching the project, is to foster and empower C&S in selecting, adapting and channeling good practices for the implementation and monitoring of existing SEAPs. The attendees will be given an opportunity to learn from some of the more ad vanced C&S and to enter tutoring and coaching schemes for the future. Key note speakers from CoM office, JRC and many other organisations.

These events address both the elected government and executives of services ( Directorates and Departments of Purchasing, Planning , Research , etc. ).
