With the adoption of the European Commission's proposal for the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) the European Union's online research and innovation portal, CORDIS, is now providing a new service, offering news, official documents and stakeholder contributions to the debate. The service covers the four specific programmes - Cooperation, Ideas, People and Capacities - and the themes proposed by the Commission. It is interactive and is designed to allow users to both follow and get involved in the debate leading to the adoption of FP7. In FP6, energy and transport issues fell within the sub-programme "Sustainable development, global change and ecosystems", however FP7 includes as separate sub-programmes on Energy, Transport (including aeronautics) and Environment (including climate change).
The Sixth Framework Programme is now closed.
