Local experiences in Energy Efficiency

	Switch Off Campaign, Codema, Ireland, 2011 The Switch Off campaign was established to encourage all 1,500 staff in the Dublin City Council Civic Offices building to switch off lights and appliances such as computers, printers and photocopiers when not in use to help the council improve its energy efficiency.
	Energy Efficiency in North Tipperary County Council Tipperary Energy Agency Limited, Ireland, 2011 North Tipperary County Council, in collaboration with Tipperary Energy Agency, has initiated a series of measures to ensure it meets the targets for public bodies set out by Ireland's National Energy Efficiency Plan.
	Mira Sintra, Sustainable District Municipal Energy Agency of Sintra, Portugal, 2010 In 2007, the Energy Agency of Sintra designed a project for the district Mira Sintra in cooperation with other local enerergy actors that aims to turn it into a sustainable community. This project has four main elements: energy efficiency, construction, renewable energy and awareness raising.
	The Energy Neighbourhood Project B&SU, Germany, 2010 The objective of the Energy Neighbourhood Project was to inspire and encourage communities to reduce energy consumption through changes in behaviour. Some eight to twelve households formed a team, the so-called Energy Neighbourhood.
