Report: ETAP - Environmental Technologies Action Plan

Website: ec.europa.eu/environment/etap/index_en.htm

Since 2004, ETAP has covered a spectrum of actions to promote eco-innovation and the take-up of environmental technologies. It includes priority actions along several lines:

ETAP complements DG Environment's regulatory approaches and directly addresses the three dimensions of the Lisbon strategy: growth, jobs and the environment.

On the ETAP website, you can access information either by Sectors of Activity in which Environmental Technologies play a key role or by Functions of Environmental Technologies. Environmental Technologies are all around us: wind turbines and solar panels, cleaner cars, biofuels and certain washing powders, recycling systems for waste or water, etc. These are basically any technology that are designed to prevent of reduce the environmental impacts, at any stage of the life cycle of the products and activities.
