Smart Cities Marketplace

Short description:
The Smart Cities Marketplace was created by merging the two former Commission projects “Marketplace of the European Innovation Partnership on Smart Cities and Communities” (EIP-SCC) and the “Smart Cities Information System” (SCIS) into one single platform. It is a major market-changing undertaking that aims to bring cities, industries, SMEs, investors, researchers and other smart city actors together.
Description:

The Smart Cities Marketplace has thousands of followers from all over Europe and beyond, many of which have signed up as a member. Their common aims are to improve citizens’ quality of life, increase the competitiveness of European cities and industry as well as reach European energy and climate targets.

There are more than 80 successful European projects sharing solutions implemented in both small and medium-sized towns and in metropolises such as London, Barcelona and Vienna. Many projects have reported their core data into the initiative's Self-Reporting Tool, to be picked up and developed into bankable solutions.

The initiative also offers solution booklets which are written by leading Smart City experts and explain technology or a concept and its potential for application in a city or community, providing an overview and allow for a deeper investigation of the specific technology or concept includes. The subjects in the booklet range from technical issues, like district heating and cooling networks or e-buses, to non-technical matters like citizen engagement or implementing sustainable and smart city strategies.

Explore the possibilities, shape your project ideas, and close a deal for launching your Smart City solution!
