QualitEE: driving investment in energy efficiency services - Submit a pilot project

Funded by Horizon 2020 QualitEE project aims to build trust in energy efficiency services and providers by fostering a common understanding of ‘good quality’ and standardising quality aspects of energy efficiency services across Europe.

QualitEE project aims to scale up investment in building energy efficiency with quality certification frameworks that go beyond the presentation of model contracts. It comprises standardised quality criteria, and an institutionalisation of the quality assurance process, as well as active promotion schemes.

With energy efficiency associations, accredited certification bodies, national authorities and financial institutions already on board, draft guidelines of Technical Quality Criteria and Financial Criteria for energy efficiency services were developed. The QualitEE consortium is now looking to test the application of quality criteria and assurance processes in 24 pilot projects from Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Germany, Greece, Latvia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and United Kingdom. The call for project submissions is open now - Submit a pilot project.

During the pilot projects, energy service providers and their clients will be guided in how to integrate the quality assurance criteria – developed as part of the QualitEE project – into their service contracts and independent quality assurance will be offered. The QualitEE project partnerswill provide expert support throughout the pilot projects from the procurement, through to the measurement and verification phase.
